Finance Committee
The Finance, Grants and Endowment Committee determines guidelines for handling Academy funds and prepares an annual budget, identifies and contacts potential sources of funding, organizes financing of specific projects for the Academy, and builds the endowment of the Academy. The Committee is made of the Chair, Treasurer, Chair of the Membership Committee, Senior Executive of CANCAS, Senior Executive Director of NCSAS, and NCAS President.
Publications Committee
The Publications Committee is responsible for writing, arranging, and publishing the quarterly Academy Newsletters, producing one-time publications as needed, contributing to the NCAS Twitter and Instagram accounts, and managing the NCAS website. Yarbrough Grant Committee
The Yarbrough Research Grant Committee manages undergraduate research funding in its name by advertising the grant, soliciting and evaluating proposals, and recommending funding requests to the NCAS Treasurer. The Undergraduate Research Grant was renamed to the Yarbrough Grant in 1976 in honor of Dr. John A. Yarbrough’s (Biology, Meredith College) 25 years of service to the Academy. The committee is comprised of the Chair, the Executive Director of CANCAS, and other members as appointed by the Chair of the committee.
