The North Carolina Academy of Science welcomes anyone interested in science and its advancement. In order to maintain the viability of the Academy we seek support for programs through recruitment of new members. Dues are paid annually and are due January 1st of each year.
Membership Benefits Include:

Subscription to the Journal of the North Carolina Academy of Science (JNCAS)

NCAS - Senior Academy Individual Membership Categories
Regular (Scientists and Graduate Students) ($30)
Confers all rights and privileges of the Academy, including one annual subscription to the Journal of the North Carolina Academy of Science (four issues), right to attend meetings and hold office, and voting privileges.
Patron ($50)
Includes all privileges and rights associated with regular membership, plus acknowledgment in the Newsletter and the Membership Directory. From the dues, $20 are allocated to the trust fund (endowment).
Joint ($40)
Open to spouses and partners. Includes all privileges and rights associated with regular membership, including one subscription to the Journal of the North Carolina Academy of Science.
Graduate Student ($10)
Includes all privileges and rights associated with regular membership, except no Journal subscription. Student status must be certified by faculty supervisor.
Life ($750)
Includes all privileges and rights associated with regular membership, with no further payment of annual dues. Payment must be in one lump sum or three equal payments over three consecutive years.
Emeritus ($0)
Includes all privileges and rights associated with regular membership, except no Journal subscription. Open to retired persons with active membership in the Academy for 10 years. Requires election by the Board of Directors. Journal subscription available for $20 per year.
